Starting April 2016, you’ll have to pay to use Office via Continuum

Lumia 950/XL users, listen up!

If you use Office via Continuum, you will have to buy an office subscription to do that starting 1st April, 2016. Till then, however, you can enjoy using it for free.

The Official statement from Microsoft states:

“Editing in Word, Excel and PowerPoint with Continuum for phones will require an Office 365 subscription, but is available to try without Office 365 through March 31, 2016.”

This should come as no surprise as by using continuum, you’re basically using a PC to do your work and this checks also checks out Microsoft’s policy of keeping office free for phones, small tablets(7.9 inches or less) while charging the users of bigger devices.
