App Updates on the Windows Store

One major difference between Windows Phone apps and apps on other OSes was the regularity with which they were updated. Windows Phone apps were always an afterthought. But, with Windows 10 Mobile, the wheels are slowly turning. Lets hope this trend continues!

ZAPYA

Popular file-sharing app, Zapya has received a considerable update that fixes Wifi Direct issues!

Tweet It! & Aeries

For Windows users on Twitter, there’s a bunch of great apps on the store. But, two that will definitely stand out are: Aeries and Tweet It!
As luck would have it, both of these great apps have received major updates!

Here’s what’s new in Aeries:

Much improved advanced search functionality – Powerfully search Twitter to find exactly what you need.
Deselect tweets using the back button.
Reply to multiple people in quick reply.
You can now tap users websites to view them.
Fixed hit areas for for viewing your Twitter Lists.

Opening from pinned lists and users now functions correctly.
User tiles now display the users profile image.
Now remembers your window size when launching the app.
Double tap an image to open in a new window.
Fixed a bug which could cause sections to not update

Equalizer & Gadgets

Microsoft has released new updates for its equalizer and Gadgets apps. While Equalizer update fixes the crashes on Lumia 950 & 950 XL, Gadgets app also brings ‘big’ improvements. Both these apps came without changelogs (Surprise, surprise).

Ally Bank

One of the few major US banks that maintains a Windows app is Ally Bank, which has just received an update!

This Update brings a feature called Bill pay Rush which would speed up the process of making payments at some fee. It also includes some bug fixes.

Flipkart

While Flipkart is working on a Universal Windows app, it is not ignoring its current app for Windows Phone which has just been updated!

The latest update bumps the version to 3.0.0.0, and the re-engineered app offers significant performance improvements and bug fixes with a refreshed design and navigation. Users would be pleased with the improvements, that is, until the Universal app!

TED

TED is probably the best platform where the biggest minds speak about the most pertinent issues plaguing the world. Now, those forward thinking men and women can be watched on Windows 10 devices as TED has released a universal Windows App!

Popular file sharing app, 4shared, have released the Beta of their Universal Windows App!

Bamboo paper is a rather neat note-taking/sketch making app by Wacom. This is an app exclusively for Tablets and PCs which makes sense as we don’t have a Windows phone with Stylus.
